Pi Network is a mobile application that allows users to earn cryptocurrency by simply tapping a button every day. It was created by a team of Stanford graduates who wanted to create a cryptocurrency that was more accessible and user-friendly than Bitcoin.
Pi Network uses a consensus algorithm called "Proof of Stake" (PoS) which allows users to earn Pi by participating in the network and helping to secure it. Unlike Bitcoin's "Proof of Work" (PoW) algorithm, which requires massive amounts of computational power and energy consumption, Pi Network's PoS algorithm can be run on a mobile phone without draining its battery.
To start earning Pi, users need to download the app, create an account, and start mining. The mining process involves tapping a button once a day to confirm that you are a real person and not a bot. As more people join the network, the mining rate will decrease, so early adopters have an advantage in terms of earning more Pi.
Pi Network is still in beta testing, so the value of the cryptocurrency is not yet established. However, the team behind Pi Network has stated that they are committed to building a sustainable and long-term cryptocurrency that can be used as a medium of exchange in the future.
